The year that has just ended marked our 30 years of commitment to professionalization. We are proud to continue deploying our expertise to support the private employers and home employment sector through innovative projects, as well as maintaining a close presence with employees and partners. Before diving into 2025, here is a look back at the key events of 2024.
Innovating to Meet the Employment Challenge
For 30 years, on behalf of the private employers and home employment sector, IPERIA has been observing professions and listening to employees and their employers to contribute to the development of a professional career path. As society and expectations evolve, we identify needs, launch pilot projects, and design reference frameworks. In 2024, France Compétences registered a new skills certificate, “Coordinating the interventions of stakeholders involved with the individual employer to promote home care”, in the Specific Directory (RS). This certification was designed and developed by IPERIA in collaboration with the sector. It represents a significant step forward in recognizing the diverse and rich skills of personal carers.
2024 also marked the first anniversary of the Sectoral Career Guidance and Professional Development Council (COEPS). This innovative tool, deployed by IPERIA, enables professionals to build a personalized career path and supports the professionalization of childminders, childcare providers, personal carers, and family assistants, helping to address employment challenges. This direct, free, and personalized service is tailored to the needs of current and future employees. So far, 1,300 individuals have already taken advantage of this opportunity to enhance their skills.

Commitment to Skills Recognition
We continuously explore new ways to recognize the skills of current and future employees. This year was particularly marked by our commitment to micro-certifications, in line with the European Council’s recommendations to promote lifelong learning. For several years, IPERIA has been focusing on open skills recognition, as demonstrated by our involvement in the European MyCred4Home project, whose closing conference took place in October, and our engagement with partners dedicated to this approach.
Another key aspect is the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which has been a focus of the sector’s social partners for 20 years. As a result, IPERIA has been actively supporting its deployment. Our expertise and contribution to the RPL reform were highlighted at the 5th Biennale in Ireland, where Nadège Turco emphasized that RPL is particularly relevant to the home employment sector, as most workers do not have formal qualifications and "learn their trade on the job, year after year."
Our Deputy Director also spoke on this topic at the Recognition of Prior Learning Meeting organized by C2RP (Carif-Oref Hauts-de-France) in Lille, as well as at two professional events hosted by the Association for Skills Development (ADevComp).

Investing in (Future) Employees
Current and future employees can rely on our team’s ongoing commitment to building or advancing their careers in the home employment sector. In 2024, we highlighted IPERIA’s dedicated professionals, starting with our platform advisors, who provide tailored support for individuals entering or evolving within the sector, particularly through COEPS.
To support skill development, our certification team plays a key role in guiding candidates and training organizations.
Our commitment also extends to structuring the sector, driven by the Certification Engineering Department, which develops and upholds professional expertise and certifications on behalf of the sector.
Additionally, training organizations within our network continue to advance skills recognition. A great example of this was seen in Nantes in April, where 90 childminders received training through a strategic partnership.
The essential contribution of our jury members was also recognized. Without them, the validation of training programs and certifications would not be possible. These professionals—employees, private employers, and IPERIA staff—support (future) employees on their journey to professionalization.
Partnering with Key Industry Players
A constant presence among partners is essential for fostering the sector’s development.
One major milestone in 2024 was the renewal— for the 4th time—of an agreement with the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA) to sustain and expand the Relais Assistants de Vie (RAVie) model. This agreement has launched a call for proposals to assess past actions and explore new ways to improve the system.
The attractiveness of home employment careers was also a central theme at the Regional Home Employment Meetings organized by Fepem in Hauts-de-France in April, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Convention, co-signed by IPERIA, France Travail, and Fepem, the development of the VEGÂA guide, in which IPERIA played a key role.
Furthermore, IPERIA is now actively involved in the Regional Health and Social Plan, working alongside Nouvelle-Aquitaine authorities, the state, and other industry representatives to establish a regional sectoral contract dedicated to healthcare, social action, and medico-social professions.
Finally, a major milestone for industry professionals was the launch of a new website for both current and future employees and employers. This platform offers a comprehensive service built around four pillars: guidance, training, certification, career development.
