WORKING WITH OUR STAKEHOLDERS

While our headquarters are located in Alençon (Orne), we have established a presence in Paris to be closer to our national partners. Our offices, located near the Montparnasse station, house a permanent team. Because employment-training policies are developed within territories and jobs in the individual employment and domestic work sector are primarily local, our teams also deploy regionally to ensure territorial coverage.

Our missions

Our history

In 1994, when what would become IPERIA was created, our pioneering spirit was already at work. Initially, it was a bold venture (some would say crazy): to bring visibility to the professions of childcare provider, childminder, family assistant, and personal carer through professional recognition. 30 years later, what progress we've made! Here's a look at the key events in our history that have accompanied the professionalization of the individual employment and domestic work sector.

1994

Born from the vision of three pioneers - Marie Béatrice Levaux, Jacques Lemonnier, and André Lemarié - the Institute for Family Employment was created in Alençon. For its founders, this tool would bring recognition to domestic work professions. Objective: to establish professional recognition and support their professionalization.

1995

With support from the General Council, Prefecture, Labor Department, and employment agency (ANPE at the time), a first training session with 14 job seekers was organized locally.

1997

The Fédération des particuliers employeurs provided its support, and the first competency frameworks were created for childminder, family assistant, and personal carer professions.

2006

The professional branch of childcare providers working for individual employers turned to our expertise for tailored professionalization programs.

2011

We took our current name: IPERIA. This identity change came with a new approach focused on career path support with the establishment of the first professionalization ambassadors. The branches also mandated us to take on broader missions promoting their professionalization commitments to (future) employees, as well as employment-training institutions and organizations.

2011

We launched a Europe-wide reflection focused on maintaining elderly people's autonomy and addressing the risk of social exclusion, through the Carer+ and CareNet projects which we led. From this point forward, we would continuously pursue and expand our EU cooperation by leading or participating in multiple European projects.
