For more than 30 years, IPERIA has supported professionals working in domestic employment, on behalf of the professional branch representing individual employers and home-based employment. Today, with nearly 600,000 positions expected to be filled by 2035, the sector is actively working to open up home care occupations to new audiences: young people, jobseekers, career changers and individuals engaged in professional integration pathways.

Reinventing domestic employment to address social and economic challenges

Population ageing, social inclusion, support for families and increasing demand for specialised skills: the sector of individual employers plays a strategic role in today’s society.

However, to meet recruitment challenges and continue supporting families, children, older people and individuals with disabilities, it is essential to reach beyond the sector’s traditional workforce. Mandated by the professional branch of individual employers and domestic employment, IPERIA is focusing on openness and innovation to promote careers in home-based services, facilitate access to these occupations and support professionals throughout their career development.

Tailored support combining digital innovation and human expertise

To attract and integrate new talent, IPERIA combines innovative technologies with personalised support :

A modernised digital platform

IPERIA’s website will soon feature an intuitive interface and interactive tools, including a chatbot, career guidance questionnaires and career pathway simulations. These tools will allow individuals to assess their skills, explore home care occupations and visualise potential career pathways in an engaging and practical way.

Stronger human support

Career guidance and professional development advisors (COEPS) provide tailored support before, during and after training. They also assist individuals who are unfamiliar with the sector, helping them move towards employment opportunities. “The objective is to ensure that everyone can confidently envision a future in these essential professions,” explains Camille Savre, Head of Professional Skills Engineering and Certification Department.

Building the future on a strong foundation of expertise

IPERIA builds on a solid foundation of expertise and innovative tools to attract new talent to the sector:
  • In-depth knowledge of occupations and skills within the individual employer and domestic employment sector;
  • A structured professional pathway offering multiple career progression opportunities;
  • Innovative and personalised support methods.
Thanks to these strengths, IPERIA is developing an ambitious model to identify, train and support the talents of tomorrow—giving individuals the tools they need to train, change careers and join a sector that provides meaningful and socially valuable work.
