On the sidelines of the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, the European Federation for Family Employment and Home Care (EFFE) presented its orientations for the domestic work sector.
Situated at the crossroads of European economic and social issues, domestic work services have a robust growth capacity and constitute an unprecedented development reservoir for European society.
This event recalled IPERIA l'Institut's active commitment to recognizing this sector at the European level by contributing its expertise. The institute presented past and ongoing European projects, such as TRACK and PRODOME, by Gloria Ortiz (Head of European Projects and Partnerships Service) and Mélanie Tocqueville (Head of Scientific Direction).

EFFE: an organisation at the heart of European projects
Co-founded in 2012 by IPERIA l'Institut, the FEPEM (Federation of Private Employers in France) FEPEM and IRCEM, EFFE brings together a community of thinkers, professional actors and experts in this sector from academia, civil society, regional representations and social partners from EU Member States. Its board is currently composed of:
- IPERIA l'Institut,
- FEPEM,
- GRUPO SSI,
- ASSINDATCOLF.
- Promote the legal and administrative recognition of domestic work by public decision-makers as a full-fledged economic sector, a factor of competitiveness and social cohesion in European society.
- Bring together all professional actors and experts in this sector in Europe so that they can pool their strengths and skills to identify the needs of European families and find suitable responses for each culture.
- Professionalize the domestic work sector in Europe, enhance the attractiveness of these occupations, ensure the security and quality of services delivered, and open social dialogue at the European level.
