Advice, skills development and access to employment: the Orientation and Career Development mission launched by the professional branch of the individual employer and home-based employment sector, and deployed by IPERIA, provides comprehensive support for anyone wishing to enter or progress within domestic employment occupations. Anthony Terme, Head of the COEPS telephone platform and team of Sector-specific Career Guidance and Professional Development Advisors, explains the logic behind this unique “phygital” pathway, its new tools, and what makes it a service that is both useful, expected and essential.
COEPS has existed since 2023. It supported nearly 700 people in 2025. How would you define it?
COEPS is aimed at people who want to build, secure or develop their career path within the individual employer and home-based employment sector. This includes jobseekers, employees already in post, people in career transition, or simply individuals questioning their future pathway. The common point is the need for clarity and concrete, tailored support within a sector that has its own specific codes.
The COEPS approach is designed precisely for this specificity: it is not generic advice, but targeted support grounded in real field practices and in the expectations of individual employers.

What makes COEPS different from one-off career advice? How is it structured?
COEPS brings its full expertise to the service of the sector. Its strength lies in positioning itself at the intersection between the skills of employees and future employees and the expectations of individual employers. This allows it to recommend personalised career pathways that support rapid employability, aligned with the evolving realities of home-based occupations.
Its effectiveness is based on a structured 5-hour support pathway, divided into three stages : needs assessment, diagnostic and action plan.
COEPS is on-demand, free of charge, confidential, and delivered over time. It is a one-to-one relationship between an expert advisor and a (future) professional.

In 2026, COEPS is being strengthened with new tools. What are they?
The professional branch aims to offer employees and future employees a comprehensive guidance and career support system. Alongside individual support, the IPERIA website will soon provide a fully enhanced user experience, allowing individuals to progress independently while still being able to contact a COEPS advisor at any time. This is what we call a phygital pathway: combining digital autonomy with human support. Depending on their needs and situation, users will be guided either digitally or by an advisor.
On the advisor side, new tools are also being introduced, including updated positioning tests. These tools allow more precise career recommendations and better recognition of previously acquired skills, leading to increasingly personalised career pathways.

How do group workshops work and what are their objectives?
Group workshops are short, dynamic and highly practical sessions fully dedicated to career success within the sector. Led by a COEPS advisor with strong expertise in home-based employment and a deep understanding of individual employer expectations, they provide targeted, immediately applicable guidance.
Each workshop lasts 2 hours and can be delivered either in person or remotely, ensuring accessibility for all participants. They encourage interaction, experience sharing and peer learning in a supportive and motivating environment.
The objective is clear: increase employability by providing participants with the tools to stand out, present themselves effectively, and adopt professional best practices. Because this sector is highly specific, job search strategies require tailored approaches, which these workshops help participants acquire quickly.
To ensure relevance, COEPS recommends the most suitable workshop for each individual based on their needs.
