She perfectly embodies one of IPERIA's values, which has sponsored her for 4 years to enable her to thrive and fulfill her potential in her sport.
She will participate in the Caen BMX Indoor on February 29 and March 1 at the Caen Exhibition Center.
Do you recognize her? It's of course, Mariane Beltrando, a French rising star in BMX Racing. If you don't know her yet, remember her name. She's one of France's great medal hopes for the Paris 2024 Olympics, as BMX (Bicycle motocross) became an Olympic sport in 2008 at the Beijing Games.
IPERIA committed to supporting Mariane Beltrando in 2016 when she was 13. She already showed promising potential. Her talent, work, and perseverance have enabled her to win the highest titles. Mariane is passionate and fully embodies IPERIA's values of sharing inventiveness and fighting spirit. Last year, she learned she had hypothyroidism, a hormonal disorder causing fatigue, which is particularly challenging for an athlete. This condition hasn't diminished her determination and progress: "I'll tell you why I love this sport, and especially sport in general. As I've said before, I had to withdraw from the French championship before the final due to health problems, and a few days later, I became the European and World champion! That's what sport is all about! Knowing how to bounce back, learn, and rise from defeats is important because even if they're not easy, they're what make us grow and become better people and athletes!!!" she wrote on her Facebook page last August 3.
In December 2019, two new victories were achieved in the town of Saint-Etienne. Back in training, Mariane is preparing for the 2020 junior season, which begins in February. Her goals this year? Participate in World Cups to compete against the best and retain her European and World championship titles. "And then I'm going to double my efforts in training and try to win back the Blue, White, Red jersey that I lost," she declared on August 18 in an interview given to www.fabmx1.com
While we wait to see Mariane take on this challenge in July 2020, we'll be delighted to see her in Normandy on February 29 and March 1 at the Caen BMX Indoor, a proper historical reference in the circuit. To better know "our" champion, discover the interview we conducted in December 2017 by clicking here.
