EU Funds Supporting Domestic Work Sector Professionalization

Tomorrow's Europe needs to invest wisely in domestic work, a key sector for its high job-creation potential and future societies' well-being and quality of life. That's why IPERIA made a dual European commitment in 2012 by launching the European Federation for Family Employment and European projects supporting sector professionalization—a strong commitment particularly resonating on this Europe Day 2020.

IPERIA, EFFE Founding Member

The European Federation for Family Employment and Homecare (EFFE) was founded in 2012. Its primary mission is to promote a social innovation model for European citizens through family and home services and employment. As a national platform for domestic work professionalization for 25 years, IPERIA helped make France a best practices model. Putting this expertise to EU use through EFFE was the logical next step.

Already 5 European Projects Led…

In less than 10 years, IPERIA has led 5 European projects addressing common EU challenges like aging populations, digital divide, social protection and inclusion, and work-life balance. Notable projects include:

 ...and More Coming in 2020

IPERIA aims to strengthen EU engagement with promising developments this year:
  • Launch of PROSE project [Professionalizing Third-Country Employees in Individual Employer Branches] funded by Asylum Migration and Integration Fund, targeting language training for 2,088 third-country employees through the Professional French language program.
  • European Social Fund co-financing requests under review for regional projects.
  • Participation in 4 Erasmus+ European project submissions, leading one.
  • Exploring other European territorial cooperation programs like INTERREG.
IPERIA achieves dual goals through European involvement: expanding expertise and initiating virtuous cycles. Multiple European funds and programs will enable more ambitious, innovative progress toward practical European-scale domestic work sector professionalization, meeting current and future societal needs.
