Training Enrollments, Certifications Issued, Large-Scale and Innovative Projects: A Record Year in 2021!
Committed! This mindset drives the branch and its partners in the 2021 assessment of the professionalization policy for the professional branch of individual employment and domestic work, published today. This is evidenced by the many actions taken to promote the occupations of childminder, childcare provider, dependency personal carer, and family assistant and to offer (future) employees opportunities for professional development through training and certification.

"With results surpassing previous years, 2021 showed that we are a sector that matters and can contribute its expertise to public debate, particularly on issues of skills and certification," rejoice Marielle Brouard & Véronique Delaitre, respectively President and Vice-President of the CPNEFP of the professional branch of individual employment and domestic work.

Committed to Driving Momentum

In 2021, continuing education reached record levels: 95,202 training enrollments recorded, including 37% for family assistants, childminders, and dependency personal carers. Training for childcare providers continues to thrive, but the gap is narrowing with other sector professions. As for certification dynamics, it's strengthening with 16,750 certifications issued by IPERIA, including a 23% increase in qualifications compared to 2020.

These positive results are based on:
  • A quality support approach with a sector certification held by 230 training organizations across France, with 99 of them accredited for certification
  • A telephone platform to advise and guide employees: over 61,000 calls handled
  • Strong commitment to the national "Ambition Childhood Equality" plan implemented by the DGS, with more than 20,000 training enrollments generated in 2021
  • Partnerships with institutional stakeholders (regions, municipalities, DREETS, employment agencies...) to develop access to qualification and promote job attractiveness, including a new "Paris Domestic Work" partnership with the City of Paris
"With more than 95,200 training enrollments supported and 16,750 certifications issued by IPERIA in 2021, the sector clearly meets the skills promotion and qualification challenge. We are fully committed to the branch to support job attractiveness and provide solutions to current challenges," declares Nadège Turco, Deputy Director of IPERIA.

Committed to Innovation in Skills Training

For nearly 30 years, the branch, supported by IPERIA, has been innovating to engage and support sector professionalization. 2021 continues this trend with:
  • 5 new specialization certificates, registered in the Specific Directory, enabling employees and future employees to acquire additional skills related to supporting disability and ASD, maintaining autonomy, and evolving work organization methods for childcare providers (MAM)
  • Engagement with the State in 2 major experimental projects: RPL by blocks and REVA for an in-depth system redesign, also in partnership with the University of Home Care Services
  • Creation of a professional positioning tool for pathway individualization, to be tested nationally (Lab Migration) and European-wide (MiCare project) to promote migrant integration through skills
  • Deployment of RAVie (Carers' Centers) on digitalization under a third agreement with CNSA

Committed to Retaining and Diversifying Audiences

"2021 establishes major projects whose impacts will be felt over several years to meet the challenge of 800,000 positions to fill by 2030," announces Marielle Brouard & Véronique Delaitre.

Committed to anticipating Occupation and Skills Evolution

The sector's future is being prepared today. The branch relies on employment, profession, and skills observation conducted by IPERIA to strengthen the industry. This involves measuring the impact of the certification policy and adapting it by offering appropriate certifications. In 2021, this forward-looking approach materializes through:

  • Creation of a Joint Technical Committee for Occupation and Qualification Observation and Forecasting, a dedicated body to better guide strategic issues
  • Launch of 5 territorial studies in Brittany and Hauts-de-France...
  • First forward-looking study contract, supported by the branch, backed by DGEFP, and coordinated by IPERIA, which resulted in 13 concrete recommendations currently being implemented.
"IPERIA positions itself more than ever as a talent incubator. We anticipate tomorrow's needs and develop new pathways for current and future domestic work employees. Our objective is to promote access to employment, employment security, and sustainability for current and future sector employees," reminds Baptiste Lenfant, managing director of IPERIA.
