Nantes Childcare Providers' Professionalization Days
For the second consecutive year, the Nantes childcare providers' professionalization days were held on November 3 and 4, 2022. Ninety-six childcare providers gathered at the Manufacture de Nantes for training on four modules selected by IPERIA and the town of Nantes.

Local Actors Committed Alongside the Sector

This event, joined by the Departmental Council and Loire-Atlantique CAF, is based on a partnership agreement for the professionalization of Nantes childcare providers, signed on February 15, 2021, by the Ville de Nantes, IPERIA and the professional branch of individual employment and domestic work. For Hélène Naulin, Deputy Mayor of Nantes delegated to early childhood, families, and parenthood, "these days aim to facilitate peer exchanges, particularly about their professional practices."

96 Childcare Providers Trained Simultaneously

These training days for Nantes childcare providers are based on needs identified by partners. Thus, the training session was open to 96 childcare providers this year. The choice of training themes is the result of partnership work. "We supported the town of Nantes in selecting modules based on needs expressed by childcare providers following a questionnaire they had sent them," indicated Yamna Chriraa, head of institutional relations at IPERIA. The following four modules were selected:
"The themes addressed during these two training days are at the heart of childcare providers' professional practices," Hélène Naulin reminded.

Retravailler dans l'Ouest, CEMEA Pays de la Loire, and IP2S Formation, three IPERIA-certified training organizations, delivered these training sessions at the Manufacture.

Claire Tramier, vice president for families and child protection at the Loire Atlantique Departmental Council, wanted to thank all childcare providers for their daily work, an occupation she considers essential for supporting young children's healthy development. "Through childcare, childcare providers allow parents to continue working. They also play an essential role alongside parents in advising and guiding them."
