In the Individual Employers and Home Employment sector, employment tracking of RNCP certification holders is not simply a regulatory obligation; it is a structured approach grounded in a vision of quality, sustainable integration into employment and continuous improvement. This approach is fully aligned with the professionalisation ambition promoted for nearly 30 years by the Individual Employers and Home Employment sector and implemented by IPERIA.
RNCP certifications serving employability and sustainable employment integration
As the certification body mandated by the Individual Employers and Home Employment sector, IPERIA designs, deploys and updates a range of certifications, starting with professional titles registered in the French National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP), including Childminder – Childcare Provider, Dependency Personal Carer and Family Assistant. These RNCP titles structure the professional pathways of sector employees and strengthen their professional positioning towards (future) employers.
Monitoring employment outcomes plays a central role in assessing and strengthening this impact.
“This is not simply an indicator; it is a strategic tool that enables the sector to understand concretely how our certifications affect employees’ professional lives. These data inform our analysis and guide the evolution of our schemes,” explains Nadège Turco, Deputy Director of IPERIA.

Strong employment outcomes supported by systematic monitoring
IPERIA’s employment monitoring system tracks professional trajectories at several intervals following certification. The most recent study shows that:
- 65% of certified individuals are in employment six months after obtaining their qualification,
- 76% are in employment eighteen months after certification, with employment rates steadily increasing over time.
These figures are not merely compliance indicators; they demonstrate the tangible impact of RNCP certifications on the employability of in-home professionals, particularly in a context of significant labour demand, with nearly 600,000 positions expected to be filled by 2035.
They also reflect the positive impact of a sustained quality approach. Between 2022 and 2023, the six-month employment rate increased by four percentage points, while the eighteen-month rate rose by three percentage points. For example, the Childminder – Childcare Provider title saw its employment rate increase from 72% to 77%.
A structured and continuously renewed methodology
For IPERIA teams, employment monitoring is not a one-off exercise; it is embedded in a comprehensive professionalisation framework that links training, certification and career development. Data collected six and eighteen months after certification are systematically analysed to identify both strengths and areas for improvement in training programmes and certifications.
A continuously improving approach
“This method enables us to anticipate sector needs and continuously adapt certifications to changes in occupations. Based on the data collected, we implement concrete actions such as pedagogical adjustments, certification updates and personalised guidance for employees,” explains Camille Savre, Head of the Occupations and Professional Certification Engineering Department.
The monitoring system will soon be strengthened and extended to skills blocks.
“Unlike full qualification holders, for whom we primarily measure post-certification employment rates, the objective is to assess how acquiring a skills block changes professional practice and may influence future employment opportunities,” adds Camille Savre.
Beyond quantitative measurement, this monitoring process serves as a qualitative steering tool. It provides insight into career trajectories, strengthens the alignment between certifications and labour market needs, and contributes to more effective and sustainable professionalisation.
Summary
Employment monitoring enables IPERIA to:
- enhance the design and development of RNCP certifications,
- refine support for career guidance and professional development,
- better respond to the needs of employees, sector organisations and institutional partners.
