The Winter University on Vocational Training, held in Biarritz from January 30 to February 1, provided an opportunity to recognize IPERIA as a key player in the professionalization of domestic work for a quarter of a century and highlight its work in exploring future occupations. Twenty-five years ago, when IPERIA was founded, individual employer domestic occupations remained in the shadows, even wholly ignored.
Since then, much progress has been made, with continuously improving results: 170,000 training enrollments since 2012 and 16,000 certified employees since 2009, thanks to the support of 233 training organizations accredited by IPERIA. The number of training enrollments has more than tripled since 2013.
IPERIA's invitation to participate in this event establishes it as a major player in the professionalization of domestic work and individual employment.
Furthermore, mandated by the professional branches of the domestic work sector, within the framework of the PIC -Skills Investment Plan 2018-2022- IPERIA explores the field of possibilities as it has done since its creation. A framework agreement between the State -- represented by Murielle Pénicaud, the professional branches, and IPERIA was signed last October 10. It provides for the continuation of an effective sector professionalization policy with an upstream study on employment developments in the sector to develop an action plan on the evolution of employment and skills.
